Covid-Safe SA Health Requirements

DO NOT ATTEND CHOIR IF YOU OR A FAMILY MEMBER IS SICK OR HAVE BEEN INSTRUCTED TO QUARINTINE. If sick, get tested and isolate until you receive your result.

  • QR Code Scanning

From 1st December we will be required to have a QR Code check as part of our Covid-Safe Plan.

https://www.covid-19.sa.gov.au/business-and-work/covid-safe-check-in

This will require everyone to check in, using the mySA GOV app at all public activities.

YAV will have the QR Code at all entrances to the building and the office and it is everyone’s responsibility to ensure that these requirements are followed by scanning with your mySA GOV app as you enter.

We will continue to take attendance rolls for all choirs which serve as contact tracing information for our younger choristers who may not have phones. We will also have paper sign in for adults with no phones as is required by SA Health.

All staff, choristers with phones and parents who enter the building must scan the app or manually record their details. I am sure this will become second nature as we go about our daily lives for the foreseeable future.

  • Masks

We recommend the wearing of masks for visitors who enter the building during rehearsal times.

  • Continued Requirements

We continue to require everyone to sanitize their hands upon arrival, socially distance in choir rooms and while waiting to collect, and not bring any food or share stationary.

We would like to thank the YAV Community for their support and flexibility during this most challenging of years and we are glad we are able to bring your choristers the chance to perform on a big stage at last, and for our families to be able to enjoy their beautiful singing which they’ve worked on so hard all of this year. All performances will be recorded and posted on our website and social media for you to share with family and friends who can’t be with us on the day.

Rehearsal next week and concert on 6th Dec

Dear YAV Community

Following the slight easing of restrictions announced today, we plan to bring the choirs back for rehearsals next week and go ahead with the concert at Elder Hall on Sunday 6th December in some format. It looks like we will have to manage with 4 square meter allowance per person in each space (it was 2 square meters) which presents challenges which we will work though and give you more information on Monday.

Have a good weekend
Tracy

No rehearsals this week.

Dear YAV Community

Given the current restrictions in SA regarding numbers permitted in our halls and recreation centres being closed, we will not be rehearsing this week.

However, in line with the expected easing back to the previous allowances from December 1st, we hope to have the choirs all back for the last week of rehearsals for the year (Wed 2nd & Thurs 3rd) and for our series of mini-concerts on the 6th December at Elder Hall to go ahead as planned.

Thanks for your patience and support as we work through the requirements for keeping our community, choristers and staff safe during this time of increased caution.

Please contact choiroffice@yav.asn.au if you have any questions.

Rehearsals suspended for 2 weeks

In line with SA’s increased Covid-19 restrictions, YAV will suspend rehearsals for the next two weeks. The safety and well-being of our staff and choristers is our priority.

At this stage there will be no YAV rehearsals or assessments until after Wednesday 2nd December. More information will follow as we receive it.

Stay safe everyone.

Kind regards

Christmas Concert- Sunday 6th Dec & calendar additions

Dear MVG and Families

We are racing towards the end of 2020 and whilst we regret not being able to produce our usual full YAV Combined Concert with all 160 choristers singing together, we are fortunate in SA that we can provide our community a choir performance in a smaller format but still on a big stage.

We will be holding 3 separate mini-concerts this year in Elder Hall. During their time on stage all choirs will be professionally filmed. Once produced, these videos will be published on our website for you to share with family and friends who can’t be with us on the day.
