Covid-Safe SA Health Requirements
DO NOT ATTEND CHOIR IF YOU OR A FAMILY MEMBER IS SICK OR HAVE BEEN INSTRUCTED TO QUARINTINE. If sick, get tested and isolate until you receive your result.
- QR Code Scanning
From 1st December we will be required to have a QR Code check as part of our Covid-Safe Plan.
https://www.covid-19.sa.gov.au/business-and-work/covid-safe-check-in
This will require everyone to check in, using the mySA GOV app at all public activities.
YAV will have the QR Code at all entrances to the building and the office and it is everyone’s responsibility to ensure that these requirements are followed by scanning with your mySA GOV app as you enter.
We will continue to take attendance rolls for all choirs which serve as contact tracing information for our younger choristers who may not have phones. We will also have paper sign in for adults with no phones as is required by SA Health.
All staff, choristers with phones and parents who enter the building must scan the app or manually record their details. I am sure this will become second nature as we go about our daily lives for the foreseeable future.
- Masks
We recommend the wearing of masks for visitors who enter the building during rehearsal times.
- Continued Requirements
We continue to require everyone to sanitize their hands upon arrival, socially distance in choir rooms and while waiting to collect, and not bring any food or share stationary.
Concert on Sunday 6th December – Elder Hall
We will go ahead with the concert – and the filming of individual choirs, with some adjustments for the reduced numbers permitted in Elder Hall and on the stage.
We will now separate the day into 5 mini concerts, instead of the 3 as was planned.
Arrival for all choirs and audience is at the steps of Elder Hall on North Terrace. Collection is on the grass at the front of Elder Hall following a choir farewell.

In line with SA Health advice, we recommend the wearing of masks for audience members when arriving prior to taking their seats in the auditorium and while leaving.
We would like to thank the YAV Community for their support and flexibility during this most challenging of years and we are glad we are able to bring your choristers the chance to perform on a big stage at last, and for our families to be able to enjoy their beautiful singing which they’ve worked on so hard all of this year. All performances will be recorded and posted on our website and social media for you to share with family and friends who can’t be with us on the day.
Looking forward to seeing everyone on Sunday.
If you have any questions please contact me: choiroffice@yav.asn.au
Kind regards and stay safe
