There will be chairs tomorrow, but you are more than welcome to bring picnic rugs, pillows, and a table to set up your group (and snacks!) comfortably.

Dear Choristers,
As you know we have been preparing for our upcoming musicianship assessment in Term 4. All classes have been working diligently and developing our musicianship which supports our choral and general music skills and knowledge.
Remember, assessment has a negative connotation which has come mostly from our school environment. In the musicianship space, this is simply an opportunity for you to demonstrate your learning and show where you progressed in YOUR journey for musicianship this year. It’s easy to fall into the worry of achievement and how you compare to others. This is not what I want to see from you at all. Please focus on the positive things, the benefit of having these opportunities to refine our musicianship tool-kit; hand signs, aural-vocal skills, understanding of scales and drills and some additional challenges.
You will attend your musicianship demonstration time with another chorister and have the support of singing most of times. Please look out for this schedule coming soon. Arrive a little earlier and run through a few things with your buddy.
To support your preparation, I have prepared some practice videos which can be accessed at the links below. Please use them if required. If they are too fast or slow, just use them as a reference and go at your own pace.

Hi MVG!
Congratulations on a wonderful open rehearsal last week. We really appreciated your enthusiasm, co-operation and attentiveness throughout the night.
We hope that your parents were able to gain an insight on how we rehearse/workshop our songs.
I personally thought that you sounded fantastic during your own set and when performing with 2CC 🙂
Homework reminders will come through in another blog next week, however we have been invited to participate in Adelaide Sings (Run by ANCA South Australia).

Call time: No later than 1:50pm
Location: Trinity Lutheran Church, Pasadena
Concert starts at 2:30pm and should finish no later than 4:30pm

To celebrate our wonderful community, the end of term, and coming together once more, come and join us for our YAV Disney Singalong on Friday 30th of September 6pm – 8pm!
Dress up your favourite character and get ready to sing all your favourite songs from Disney! There will also be a Disney quiz during the night, so start revising.
Please BYO food, drinks, plates, cups, etc. We encourage you to bring reusable packaging for this event. Each group is responsible for their own space (and potential mess!), so please consider this when packing snacks! Note: this is a no alcohol event.
Children are to sit with their family/caregivers throughout the evening.
We are so excited to see you there!

2CC and MVG will join at 6:45 until 7:15pm. All choristers will finish at 7:15pm

Our final weeks of term 3 are:
Thursday 15 September PLEASE NOTE 5:30 – 7:15pm – collaboration with 2CC and performance for Families in the Front Hall. No Musicianship (week 8)
Thursday 22 September NO REHEARSAL (week 9)
Thursday 29 September normal rehearsal including Musicianship (week 10)
And don’t forget the YAV Disney Singalong on Friday 30 September! We expect some tenor and bass voices there 😉
