YAV Open Day 2024

Dear YAV Families,

I trust this letter finds you well. Following my recent communication about our recruitment initiatives for 2024, I’m thrilled to share an exciting opportunity with you.

YAV are having our inaugural OPEN DAY on Saturday 3rd February 2024, from 10am – 12pm at BCUC. Yes, this event is a recruitment drive; but by way of being a celebration of our incredible choir community.

During the OPEN DAY, prospective families will have the chance to delve into the heart of Young Adelaide Voices. We’ll present an overview of our choir structure and showcase our world-class choral education. You’ll witness inspiring choir performances, hear firsthand from choristers about the transformative impact of YAV in their lives, and even participate in interactive rehearsals and musical game sessions.

While the students engage in the vibrant atmosphere, parents can relax and enjoy a coffee in the BCUC cafe. We believe that this interactive approach will provide a dynamic introduction to the unique experience we offer at YAV.

Importantly, the Open Day strategically precedes our first Come and Try rehearsal. This alignment allows interested students to experience a choir rehearsal firsthand before making a commitment.

As we embark on this recruitment journey, we understand that our most compelling advocates are our current YAV families. Your genuine experiences and enthusiasm are invaluable. We kindly ask that you spread the word about the OPEN DAY within your networks. Extend invitations to friends and any interested students, and consider attending the event together.

Flyers will be making the rounds this week!

Several choirs will be performing, making this day a true celebration of our collective passion for music and community. By saving the date in your calendar now, you contribute significantly to the success of this event and help us achieve our recruitment goals for 2024.

Some families have suggested that we advertise YAV in school newsletters. Where you feel this is appropriate to do, I will attach our media communication about our OPEN DAY so that you can forward this to your school networks to make this request on our behalf.

Thank you for being an integral part of the Young Adelaide Voices family. Your support and enthusiasm make a meaningful difference in the lives of our choristers.

Warm regards,

Stephanie Eaton
